The Mansfield Netball Club Coaches have been appointed for the upcoming 2020 season. The coaching group is excited and looking forward to the continued improvement of the Netball Club across all age groups.

Game Style

Leanne Backwell, Netball Operations Manager in 2020 is excited by the close-knit coaching group and the prospect of this experienced team representing the Mansfield Netball Club Coaches.

“Our coaches have some great experience and are really looking forward to the 2020 season. Each age group and division will have the same style of play as our A-Grade team. This is important to the Mansfield Netball Club as the development of our young players is a priority at this club. We would like all our Netballers to progress through the ranks and have a chance at playing GVL A-Grade netball or beyond.”

Round 1 for the GVL Netball season begins on Saturday 4th April vs Rochester. Below are the coaching appointments for 2020.

Team Appointments

A-Grade – Dempsey Parsons: a local A-Grade player who came through junior ranks. Dempsey has passion and commitment and a strong vision for the Club.

B-Grade – Michelle Kain: an experienced player stepping up coaching in 2020 with great support from her team.

B-Reserve – Cathy Parks: an experienced coach and umpire who is a great mentor to all Eagles players and coaches.

17 and Under – Sue Dolling: is a 500 game, highly decorated Club legend. Sue is eager to pass on all she has learned to up and coming players and Sharna Byrne a former player and coach with a wealth of experience.

15 and Under – Leonie Berry: an experienced player and Club Legend is coaching in 2020. Her extensive experience, knowledge and boundless enthusiasm is her hallmark as a coach. Leonie is committed to making the step into the senior club a positive and enjoyable transition.

Skills Coach – Judy Dixon: Judy will apply her extensive coaching knowledge to work on specific skills and plays for all trams, in conjunction with the coaching panel.

Fitness Coach – Lucy Marks: A former star Eagles netballer, Lucy provides varied challenging fitness sessions for players across all teams. Her occupation as a practising dietician, allows her to provide excellent advice on maintaining a balanced and nourishing diet for sporting performance.
